Terms & Conditions for SchoolBank

SchoolBank is an educational platform designed to simulate banking, financial literacy, and classroom economy concepts. The Service is intended for educational purposes only and does not represent real banking, financial, or investment services.

SchoolBank is intended for use by educators, schools, students, and guardians. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use the Service with permission and supervision of a parent, guardian, or educator.

Bytebury LLC reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether usage violates these Terms.

7. Data & Privacy

SchoolBank may collect limited information necessary to operate the Service. We do not sell personal data. Usage of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy (if applicable).

8. Educational Disclaimer

SchoolBank is a simulation tool only. No real money, banking, credit, or financial transactions occur. Bytebury LLC is not a bank, financial institution, or financial advisor.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, software, logos, and trademarks associated with SchoolBank are the property of Bytebury LLC and may not be copied, modified, or redistributed without written permission.

10. Service Availability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Bytebury LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may modify or discontinue the Service at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bytebury LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bytebury LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Marketing and Promotion

You grant Bytebury LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your profile photo and school or organization logo for marketing and promotional purposes. If you wish to have this content removed, please contact bytebury+schoolbank@gmail.com.

16. Cookies and Analytics

SchoolBank uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to analyze traffic and improve user experience. By using the Service, you consent to the collection of data regarding your usage patterns.

17. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

SchoolBank complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Where the Service is used in an educational setting, the school or educator represents and warrants that they have the authority to provide consent for the collection of personal information from students under 13 on behalf of the parents, solely for the use and benefit of the school’s educational context.

Parents or guardians may request to review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child’s information at any time by contacting us at bytebury+schoolbank@gmail.com.

18. User-Generated Content

Bytebury LLC is not responsible for any content, data, or information entered into the Service by users. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you upload or input is appropriate, lawful, and does not violate the rights of any third party.
